Last Monday, Walt Mueller of CPYU joined us for LIVE YM Talk. I collected several questions from you all in the weeks leading up to this conversation and we had a great time picking his brain for answers along with many other youth workers who also had good insights.
Some of the things we talked about:
- How youth workers can stay up-to-date with constantly changing social media and communication.
- Addressing the consumeristic mindset teens have about church.
- Where youth ministry needs to change for the upcoming generation of students.
- Ways to take teens deeper when they really don’t want to go deeper.
- And a lot more…
You can listen to the whole conversation below or grab it in iTunes.

December 14: This Monday our featured guest is John Mulholland. He recently separated his jr. high and sr. high ministries, so we’ll use his experience to spark a conversation about issues surrounding separate jr. and sr. high youth ministries. The show starts at 2:00 PM eastern time. Call (724) 444-7444 and enter ID 19105#, or use the link on the LIVE YM Talk page to listen online and join the chat room.

We have a couple exciting LIVE YM Talks coming up! If you haven’t joined us yet on Mondays at 2:00 PM, it’s always a great conversation among youth workers from all over the country. We gather together in an online chat room and on the phone to learn from each other.
I have two freebies for you guys this week! The first one is a listing of lots of worship praise songs in PowerPoint. If you’re like me, I usually type up the lyrics in PowerPoint but never bother to save it because “it’ll be a long time before we sing these songs again.” However, only a couple weeks later I’m like, “Ugh, I need that song again!” So, maybe this will save me some time, and you too! The slides are plain in black and white, which is good if you like it simple and also good so it’s easy to apply your own formatting. See a listing of free worship song PowerPoints here:
