D6 was influential for me
A pretty significant event for me last year was attending the D6 Conference for two reasons.
1. I’ve been moving toward a family-based approach to youth ministry for a few years, but have always struggled with how to lead that kind of movement. D6 was full of helpful stories, advice, and insights from other church leaders who are moving in that same direction and willing to share what they’ve learned.
2. Most of the time I felt like I was the only one really pursuing ministry to the family unit, but at the D6 Conference I was so encouraged to see thousands of other church leaders from across the country with the same pursuit as me.
This year the D6 Conference (based on Deuteronomy 6) is in Dallas, Texas, on September 26-28, 2012. I’ve already confirmed my registration and would love to meet with any of you guys who are going! They have several price breaks that can save you some cash. One of those is coming up on March 6. Be sure to check out their conference prices!
Watch FREE Full Video Sessions from D6!
The D6 Conference is doing something cool! Yesterday they launched D6 Days, which is a free gift from them to all churches and families.
- Speakers lined up to do teaching sessions via live video streams
- Free downloads of audio recordings from last year’s conference
- Videos of past sessions
- More coming!
They will be posting fresh video content from some of their current speakers, complete past D6 Conference video sessions, and audio lab mp3’s that can be downloaded, kept, and shared among friends, family and staff members. If you’ve ever wanted to attend D6 and have not been able to make it, this is the perfect way to capture the vision of the conference!
There are three different D6 Days in 2012: February 21, April 17, and July 24. D6 Days content will be available for up to two weeks after the listed dates. Enjoy!
