Required Reading

Everyone in the program will read these two books. Reading assignments are made by the mentor after your needs and personal goals for the mentorship are established. These books are included in the cost of the mentorship and will be given to you at the Simply Youth Ministry Conference before your 10 weeks of mentoring begins.

• Ministry Mutiny: A Youth Leader Fable, by Greg Stier
• Your First Two Years in Youth Ministry, by Doug Fields

Expectations

There are a few expectations mentees must agree to.

• To read the books listed above and any other materials recommended by the mentor.
• It is the mentee’s responsibility to initiate phone contact with the mentor each week at their designated meeting time.
• Each week the mentee and mentor will discuss questions and subject matters pre-determined by the mentee during the application process.
