Podcast: The economy, ministry administration, and youth leadership

LIVE Youth Ministry TalkYesterday’s LIVE YM Talk was a bit a bit open ended again. We discussed three main issues: how the economy is affecting our ministry budgets, handling administrative responsibilities of youth ministry, and what to look for in someone when recruiting leaders for the youth ministry. I referenced a blog series I wrote two months ago called Youth Leadership 101 that reviews some qualities you should look for, expectations you should have, lists of what students need from adult leaders, boundaries that need to be set, questions you should ask a new youth leader, and a video on commitments they need to make.

Next week’s discussion

March 13: Next week our featured guest is Greg Stier from Dare 2 Share Ministries. He’ll be leading a discussion on “Answering teens’ tough questions about God,” especially based on his recent experiences filming the Gospel Journey: Maui. In fact, check out this video on YouTube where I interview Greg as an introduction to our upcoming LIVE YM Talk discussion.
